Create an Uninstall Patches Job and Apply it on Linux devices

To create an uninstall patches job and apply it on Linux devices, follow these steps:

  1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to OS Updates > Create New Job > Uninstall
  2. Enter the Job Name and select Classification Type
  3. Select the required patches and click Save. The job is saved under the default folder and the user is redirected to the default Linux OS updates job folder. You can apply patches to the necessary devices.

     or 

  1. Click Save & Apply and select the required Devices Group or Tags group to uninstall the specific patch from the selected device.

  • Uninstallation of patches works on devices that have the patches already installed
  • This feature is supported on Linux devices with SureMDM Agent version >= 7.5.1
  • Uninstallation of patches will result in the removal of the entire package which may cause system instability and is irreversible. Please verify before proceeding
