  • Android devices should be enrolled in Android Enterprise(DO, WPCO, or PO) mode.

  • Device authentication should be any type that records the User Name and Email ID on the Device.

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings > Account Settings > Enterprise Integrations > Mobile Email Management.

  2. Check Enable Exchange ActiveSync PowerShell Integration.

  3. Choose Zimbra from the Select Server drop-down menu.

  4. Enter the following details:

Set Grace PeriodDefine the grace period within which the user must enroll the device to the SureMDM web console.
  1. Click Done to save the changes.

Once done, Android devices using Zimbra will start showing a prompt, asking the users to install the SureMDM agent and enroll the devices to a SureMDM account suggested by the admin.

note

If the device is not enrolled in the SureMDM web console within the Grace period, the user will not be able to access or sync the E-mails on the Gmail application client with the Zimbra domain.

Configure Exchange Email Profiles on Android Devices

  1. Create the Mail Configuration profile for Android device(s).

Once the device picks up this configuration, Gmail appears inside the work container on the device. This inbox is pre-configured with a selected e-mail account from the MEM profile. When the containerized mail application is launched, it asks for the account password. Once the password is entered, exchange mail will start to sync.

note

Zimbra is supported on Android devices only.
