Using Device Groups options

Create a new Group

To create a new group, follow below mentioned procedure:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. On Device Groups section, click on New

3. On New Group Name prompt, enter a desired name and click on OK

4. The new created group would reflect under Home

5. Drag and drop the devices from Device List to the group or use Pre-Approved option to automatically assign the device to a group upon enrollment

Rename a Group

To rename a group, follow below mentioned procedure:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. On Device Groups section, click and select the group to be renamed

3. On Rename existing group prompt, enter the new name and click on OK

Delete a Group

To delete a group, follow below mentioned procedure:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. On Device Groups section, click and select the group to be deleted

3. On confirmation prompt, click on OK to complete deletion

Note: Deleting the group will also delete the devices under the group as well as its subgroups.

View total number of devices and subgroups in a group

To view total number of devices and subgroups in a group, follow below mentioned procedure:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. On Device Groups section, click and select the group for which you want to view the details

3. Click on Properties to launch Group Properties prompt

4. Group Properties prompt will have following details:

     - Total Devices - Number of devices under the group

     - Total Subgroups - Number of subgroups under the group

     - Default Jobs - Jobs which are automatically applied to devices enrolled under the group by default
