Configure APN Configuration Profile (Android Enterprise)
APN Configuration allows the administrator to configure Access Point Name (APN) settings to manage mobile data connectivity on enrolled devices.
To remotely configure the APN Configuration profile on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:
1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > Android > Add > Primary Profile > APN Configuration > Configure.
2. Enter a Profile Name.
3. In the APN Configuration screen, enter the following details and click Save.
Settings | Description |

Activate APN | Enable to Activate the APN configuration on the device; disable to save the configuration without activating it. |
Name | Enter a descriptive name for the APN configuration. |
APN | Enter the Access Point Name provided by the carrier to establish mobile data connectivity. |
Proxy | Enter the proxy server address associated with the APN for routing mobile data traffic. |
Port | Enter the proxy server port number associated with the APN. |
Username | Enter the username required to authenticate the APN connection. |
Password | Enter the password required to authenticate the APN connection. |
Server | Enter the server address associated with the APN. Not supported on Fully Managed devices. |
MMSC | Enter the URI of the Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) associated with the APN. |
MMS Proxy | Enter the proxy server address used for MMS traffic in the APN configuration. |
MMS Port | Enter the port number for the MMS proxy server in the APN configuration. |
MCC | Enter the Mobile Country Code (MCC), a numeric identifier for the carrier associated with the APN. |
MNC | Enter the Mobile Network Code (MNC), a numeric identifier that, along with the MCC, uniquely identifies the mobile carrier for the APN. |
Authentication Type | Select the authentication method used to verify identity when connecting to the APN. Options include None, PAP, CHAP, or PAP or CHAP. |
APN Type | Enter one or more APN types separated by commas (e.g., default,mms,supl). Specifies the purpose of the APN, such as internet access, MMS, or tethering. |
APN Protocol | Select the IP protocol to use when connecting to the APN. Options include IPv4, IPv6, or IPv4/IPv6 for dual-stack connectivity. |
APN Roaming Protocol | Select the IP protocol to use when the device is roaming. Ensures proper data connectivity outside the home network. |
Bearer | Specify the network type supported by the APN (e.g., LTE, 5G (NR), GSM). Select "Not specified" to allow use of any available network. |
MVNO Type | Select the type of Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) identifier used to match the SIM card. Options include SPN, IMSI, GID, or ICCID. |
Note : This feature is supported on Fully Managed devices with SureMDM Agent V 27.51.00
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
4. Go back to the Home tab and select the device(s).
5. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
6. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
