Windows CE Enrollment

To enroll a Windows Mobile Device into SureMDM, follow these steps:

1. Download the SureMDM Agent Mobile application from this link.

   A .cab file will download.

2. Tap the downloaded .cab file and click Install.

   Once successfully installed, the SureMDM Agent Home Screen will appear with the Settings option.

If you don’t have the option to install the SureMDM Agent software directly onto the device, you can use the following steps to install it on a computer, and transfer it to the device from there:

1. Download the .cab file on a desktop or laptop from 42Gears website*

2. Connect the device to the desktop or laptop (using a USB cable).*

3. Launch the Windows Mobile Device Center (a built-in feature) on the desktop or laptop and connect to the device*

4. Transfer the .cab file from desktop or laptop to the device*

5. On the device, double-click and launch the .cab file to complete the installation process.*

3. Enter Customer ID and Server, and tap Register.

Customer ID is the SureMDM account identification number.

Server Path is the console URL to which the device will be enrolled.

4. Click OK.

You will know the device has been enrolled in SureMDM when:

• On the SureMDM Agent Home Screen, the device status changes to Online
• On the SureMDM Web Console, the device appears under the Device Grid.

Configure SureMDM Agent Settings for Windows Mobile Devices

In this section, you can configure/modify the SureMDM Agent settings. On successful launch of SureMDM Agent application on the device,SureMDM Agent Home will appear with Settings options. 

To configure SureMDM Agent Application settings, follow these steps:

1. Launch SureMDM Agent Application on the device.

2. In SureMDM Agent Home screen, tap Settings. 

3. Configure SureMDM Agent  settings:        

Settings	Description
Customer ID	Customer ID is the identification number for the SureMDM account. Enter the Account ID to get enrolled to the account.
Server	The Console URL to which devices will be enrolled.
ID Type	A unique identification for the device that is auto-populated on selecting ID Type as System ID.
Enable Logging	Select this option to record log information of the device in SureMDM.
Use HTTPS	Choose this option to switch from HTTP to HTTPS. Note: It is recommended to use HTTPS for the secured connection.
Stop	Select this option to halt SureMDM Agent from running on the device.
Set Password	Select this option to configure a password to access SureMDM Agent Settings.
