Create an Enterprise App Store (Windows)

To create an enterprise App Store, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > App Store > Windows > Add New App.

  2. In the Select Options prompt, select the desired option from the following to add the application:

Web AppsAdd Web Apps (shortcuts/bookmarks) that reference web resources and display as icons on devices.
MSI Apps for EMMAdd MSI installer links designed specifically for agentless Windows EMM deployments.

Add Application (LOB Applications)

Use this option to upload custom Windows installers directly or link to an externally hosted file

  1. Select Add Application
  2. Choose one of the following package source options:
    • Upload File: Upload the application package by dragging and dropping the file into the designated area or by selecting Browse File. Only .msi and .exe application packages are supported.
    • URL: Add an application hosted on a remote server.
  3. If URL is selected, provide the following information and click Add:

NameEnter the name of the application.
VersionEnter the version of the application.
URLEnter the URL of the application where it is hosted. The URL must be accessible on enrolled devices.
App Icon URLEnter the Application Icon URL to be displayed in the App Store.
CategoryProvide the App Category for the Application.
DescriptionEnter the description for the application.
  1. Finally added application will be seen in the Add Application section in App Store.

Third Party Apps

  1. Select Third Party Apps to open the curated SureMDM repository.
  2. Switch between the Featured Apps and All Apps tabs:
    • Featured Apps: Browse a curated list of over 150 widely used applications that can be added with a few clicks.
    • All Apps: Search the complete application catalog by application name or publisher to find and add any supported app.
  3. Click View Details to review app information.
  4. Select the target application and click Add.
  5. Once selected, you’ll see a mandatory acknowledgment popup, as the app ownership and licensing stay with the original provider. Check I understand the risk and wish to continue and click Ok.
note

The application can be added only after the acknowledgement has been accepted.

Web Apps

  1. Select Web Apps.
  2. Configure the following fields and click Add.

NameEnter the display name of the Web App.
URLEnter the full web address.
CategoryProvide the App Category for the Application.
DescriptionEnter the description for the application.
  1. Added web applications will be seen in the Web Apps section of the App Store tab in the SureMDM Agent.

MSI Apps for EMM

Use this option to configure agentless .msi application installations via Windows native MDM/EMM protocol.

  1. Select MSI apps for EMM.
  2. Enter the download link into the URL field and click search.
  3. In the expanded configuration window, fill in the following details and click Add.
FieldDescription
App TitleEnter the display name for the application.
CategorySpecify an application category.
URLDisplays the hosted direct web URL for the .msi package.
DescriptionDescription summary of the Application.
File HashThe cryptographic file hash (SHA-256) calculated for package integrity and security verification.
Application IDEnter the unique Application ID associated with the .msi package.
DescriptionEnter the description for the application.
note

MSI applications deployed using this option, work on devices enrolled purely via Windows EMM and have no dependency on the SureMDM Agent. For advanced functionality - such as App Store catalog listings, On-Demand installations, and other options, add the app under LOB Applications instead.
