Configure Application Policy

This allows administrators to remotely configure application policies and apply them to the enrolled devices.

To configure the Application Policy and apply remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > ChromeOS > Add > Application Policy> Configure > Add

  2. In the Add App prompt, type select App Name and App ID and click Add.

The application policy details will be listed in the Application Policy section.

  1. Enter a Profile Name and click Save.

The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the required group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created policy and click Apply.

  • Unlike other platforms, the ChromeOS policy cannot be assigned to individual devices; it can only be assigned to the ChromeOS group.

  • In order to create and apply the Application Policy, you should first add the apps to the SureMDM App Store > ChromeOS. This policy is only applicable to Chrome Web apps.
