Disable Device

The Disable Devices Job allows admins to remotely deactivate ChromeOS devices, preventing unauthorized access and safeguarding sensitive information. This proactive security measure adds an extra layer of protection to your fleet of Chromebooks, ensuring data integrity and reducing potential risks associated with device loss.

Follow the below steps to create Disable Device jobs to the devices:

  1. Navigate to the SureMDM Console > Jobs > New Job > ChromeOS.

  2. Select Disable Device Job.

  3. Enter the Job Name and select the Disable Device toggle.

  4. Once done, click OK.

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the ChromeOS device or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job(s) and click Apply.
