Create an Enterprise App Store (Linux)
Creating an Enterprise App Store (Linux) involves establishing a dedicated platform for distributing applications on Linux devices. By accessing the SureMDM Web Console and navigating to the App Store section, administrators can add new applications by choosing from options like uploading packages, linking apps, or adding web apps. Successfully added applications will appear in the App Store interface, providing users with access to approved software. Note that specific file formats are supported for different Linux distributions, and administrators can conveniently upload multiple versions of the same app for efficient management and deployment.
To create an enterprise App Store for Linux, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > App Store > Linux > Add new app.
2. Select the desired option from Select Options to add an application:
- Upload Package
- Link
- Web App
Once the app is successfully added, the application will be reflected on the App Store screen.
- For the Upload Package option, Ubuntu supports .dem files and Fedora supports .rpm files.
- Admins can upload multiple versions of the same app.
