Enroll iOS Devices
Before managing iOS devices through SureMDM, it is necessary to acquire an Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) certificate. The Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) is a service provided by Apple that allows third-party applications to send push notifications to iOS devices. For SureMDM to monitor and manage Apple devices, it requires users to register and obtain an APNs certificate. It is important to set up an APNs certificate before enrolling any iOS or macOS devices to enable secure communication and easy management through the SureMDM server.
According to the guidelines of the Apple Enterprise Developer Program, APNs certificates are valid for one year. Renewal is required thereafter, with SureMDM sending reminders as the expiration date nears. To prevent device management disruption, upload the new certificate immediately after renewing it on the Apple Development Portal.
This configuration is required to manage only iOS devices.
