Alert Message (Android)


Alert Message job helps the admins to send emergency notifications to the enrolled devices.

To configure an emergency alert message and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s), follow these steps:

1.  On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android > Alert Message > Create New Alert.

2.  Configure Alert Message settings and click OK.

Settings

Description

Job Name

Enter a job name.

Alert Title

Enter the Alert Title. Set font size and font color for the alert title.

Alert Description

Enter the Alert Description. Set font size and font color for the alert description.

Alert Icon

Choose an icon from the Predefined icons list or upload a Custom Icon. Set the Icon Size as Small / Medium / Large.

Background Color

Set a background color for the alert message.

Layout

Set the alignment for the alert title (Left/Center/Right).

Preview

Use this option to see a preview of the created alert message.

Alert Type

Select an Alert Type:

1. Display Alert - Displays the alert message directly on the device.

  • Enable Buzz - Creates a buzzing sound on the device for a specified time.
  • Close Alert Popup - Closes the alert message after the specified time.

2. Display Popup - Displays the alert message as a popup.

  • Title - Title name of the alert popup.
  • Message - Message for the alert popup.
  • Enable Snooze - By enabling this option, the user will have the option to snooze the message even after closing the popup notification window.


The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section

3.  Go to the Home tab and select the Android device(s) or group(s).

4.  Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

5.  In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
