Getting started with SureMDM

To get started with SureMDM, complete the following steps:

• Download and set up SureMDM Nix Agent on the device

• Login to SureMDM Web Console

Downloading SureMDM Nix Agent

SureMDM Nix Agent is downloaded as Android Application File (.apk) and can be downloaded from:

• Google Play

• 42Gears Official website

Install SureMDM Nix Agent

To install SureMDM Nix Agent, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Once SureMDM Nix Agent is download, tap on it to launch

2. Go through the Permissions and tap on Install

3. Tap on Open once the installation is complete

4. SureMDM Nix Agent will then ask to Activate Device Administrator

5. Go through the details and tap Activate to proceed

6. Once done, SureMDM Nix Agent Home Screen will launch

Setup SureMDM Nix Agent

To setup SureMDM Nix Agent, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Tap on SureMDM Nix Agent icon to launch

2. On the SureMDM Welcome Screen, tap on Get Started

3. On the next screen, enter Account ID and tap on Register

Note: Account ID is the identification number sent to you once you register for using SureMDM.

4. On Configure Device Name screen, select from the following options:

   - Set Device Name Manually

   - Use MAC Address

   - Use System Generated Name

5. Tap on Set Device Name to complete the setup process.

Log into SureMDM Web Console

To login into SureMDM Web Console, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Launch browser in your desktop

2. Go to SureMDM Web Console

3. On the login page, login using the registered User Name and Password

4. Once you are logged in, you can start managing your devices

Verify Connectivity of Nix Agent with SureMDM Server

To check if your device has proper connectivity with the SureMDM server, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Launch browser on the mobile device

2. Access the URL - http://suremdm.42gears.com/test.html

3. The page should display the confirmation message - SureMDM Server is running

Note: Once SureMDM Nix Agent is configured, it will try to establish connection with the server whenever network connectivity is available, even after device reboot.

Change password for SureMDM

To change SureMDM login password, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. Once logged in, click on Settings icon located at the top right of the screen

3. Click on Change Password button

4. On Change your account password prompt, enter the old password and new password

5. Click on OK to complete

Brand SureMDM with your company details

SureMDM Web Console can be branded with desired image or text for branding. This default text on the top left of the screen can be changed by following below mentioned steps:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. Once logged in, click on Settings icon located at the top right of the screen

3. Click on Advance Settings button

4. On Advance Settings prompt, click on Branding Info tab

5. Under Branding Info tab, enter following details:

   - Use Logo

   - Title

   - Sub-title

   - Message Footer

6. Click on Apply to complete
