SureMDM Console Basics
SureMDM enables the remote management of enterprise devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, smartwatches, and other IoT devices. This web-based console offers IT administrators full visibility and control of these devices to ensure they are secure and compliant.
Acquaint yourself with security settings and interface features such as the Getting Started Wizard, menu icons, sending feedback, and global search.
Supported Browsers
The SureMDM console supports the latest stable builds of the following web browsers.
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Safari
Extensive platform testing has been performed to ensure functionality using these web browsers. If you run the SureMDM console with an older browser version browser or on a non-certified browser, you can experience minor issues.
Header Menu
The Header Menu appears at the top of every page of the SureMDM console, enabling you to access the following functions and features.
- Home: The SureMDM home page displays all the options, such as All Devices, Groups, Tags, Filter, Locate, Job History, Device Grid, etc.
- Enrollment: 42Gears UEM provides multiple options for device enrollments. Device enrollment and management differ slightly across the platforms. The section displays the platform-specific options for enrolling each type of device.
- Dashboard: SureMDM Web Console has an HTML5-based dashboard. Admins can create multiple dashboards, multiple charts for each dashboard, access dashboards based on different roles and user permissions, and more.
- MTD: Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) solution provides mobile security by protecting organizations from threats on devices by preventing, detecting, and remediating cyber-attacks using various techniques. MTD with the MDM solution ensures integrated security management and policy enforcement. SureMDM’s native Mobile Threat Defense solution secures devices at different levels, such as Application, Network, and Device.
- Inbox: A repository of emails from users. It allows you to send and receive emails.
- Jobs: Jobs section allows the admin to create jobs and remotely trigger a predefined sequence of actions on end-user devices. For example, you can use a job to install an application remotely or change device brightness settings.
- Profiles: This section allows admins to control the functions and settings of specific apps and enrolled devices. Using this feature, administrators can control the environment of enrolled devices while still letting users use their personal apps and profiles.
- App Store: This section of the web console allows administrators to create their own enterprise app store. Admins can create a list of enterprise apps and make them available to enrolled mobile devices.
- File Store: It is a secure way to distribute documents and files on Android and iOS/iPadOS devices. This feature allows organizations to create a document library and share documents like images, videos, and other files across enrolled devices.
- Reports: It helps the administrator manage the device and data inventory efficiently. The reports section helps the admins generate different types of reports, such as On Demand Reports, Schedule Reports, and Custom Reports.
- DeepThought: DeepThought, an AI-based chatbot, helps administrators navigate through the maze of functionalities and complex data with hands-free device management using, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and voice recognition. Admins can use simple text and voice commands to perform certain tasks on the SureMDM Web Console. To know more about this section, click DeepThought.
