Configure Wi-Fi Configuration Profile (Android Management)

The Wi-Fi Configuration Profile feature in SureMDM allows administrators to remotely configure Wi-Fi settings on enrolled Android devices. Administrators can create multiple Wi-Fi configurations based on different network requirements. 

To configure Wi-Fi remotely on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:

1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > Android > Add > Wi-Fi Configuration > Configure.

2. Enter a Profile Name and click Add.

Multiple Wi-Fi configurations can be created.

3.  Configure WiFi Configuration settings and click Save.

SettingsDescription
SSIDEnter the SSID name of the desired network.
Security TypeSelect the security type (Open / WEP / WPA/WPA2 PSK / 802.1X EAP / WPA/WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise) for the network type.
EAP MethodSpecifies the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) method, including options like PEAP, TLS, TTLS, PWD, SIM, or AKA
Note : The security type 802.1x EAP with EAP methods TTLS, PWD, SIM, and AKA is only compatible with SureMDM Agent version >= 27.36.00.
Phase 2 AuthenticationConfigures additional authentication methods such as None, PAP, MSCHAP, MSCHAPv2, or GTC for enhanced security.
CA CertificateSpecifies the Certificate Authority (CA) certificate to validate the network's identity.
User CertificateSelects the user-specific certificate for authenticating with the Wi-Fi network.
IdentityDefines the user’s identity (username) for network authentication.
Anonymous IdentityConfigures an anonymous username to protect the user’s real identity during EAP authentication.
Advanced Options - Use ProxyAllows configuration of proxy settings for the network.
Advanced Options - IP SettingsEnables configuration of IP settings, either dynamically via DHCP or manually as static.
PasswordEnter the password to configure WiFi settings.
Auto ConnectSelect this option to automatically connect to the WiFi network.
Hidden NetworkConfigures the device to connect to a network that does not broadcast its SSID.
Disable MAC Address RandomizationDisables MAC address randomization, ensuring the device uses its actual MAC address when connecting.

     The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.

4.  Go back to the Home tab and select the Android device(s) or group(s).

5.  Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

6.  In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
