Publish Self-Hosted Private Apps / Google Hosted Private Apps
The device must be enrolled through Android Management for this feature to work.
The Private app is an app available only to the enterprise's users. Enterprise can publish private apps to its managed Google Play Store and install these apps remotely on users' devices.
To publish self-hosted apps / Google hosted apps,
To publish private apps, you need to add an organization ID to the Google-managed console.
1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Android Management > Miscellaneous > Google Play Developer API.
2. Select Enable Play Developer API.
3. Browse and select License Key and click Upload.
Once done, you can see a new tab named Private Apps that will be added under App Store > Android.
4. Click Private Apps.
There will be two options displayed on the screen:
- Self-hosted Private Apps - Hosting of apps on the enterprise's server
- Google hosted Private Apps - Hosting of apps on the Google server
5. Select the appropriate option and upload the apk file of the private app.
