Browser Preferences

Browser Preferences helps to configure security and advanced browser settings to control web access behavior and enhance the overall browsing experience within SureLock. This feature has the following features:

Toggle KeyboardEnable or disable the on-screen keyboard visibility while browsing.
Enable JavaScriptAllow execution of JavaScript on webpages, enabling interactive elements such as buttons and icons to function properly.
Enable Plug-in SupportAllow browser plug-ins required for specific web content to run.
Camera AccessControl whether users can access the device camera through an allowed website. Options:
  • Ask User Permission
  • Always Grant
  • Always Deny
Use Back Button for BrowsingEnable the Back button to allow users to navigate to previously visited pages.
Show Files Using Google DocsAllow viewing of supported file types (PDF, documents, ZIP files) within the browser using Google Docs.
Tabbed BrowsingEnable multiple tabs to allow users to browse more than one website simultaneously.
Allow PDF ViewerEnable viewing of PDF files directly within the browser.
Allow Download in PDF ViewerAllow users to download PDF files while viewing them in the browser.
Allow Print in PDF ViewerEnable printing functionality for PDF files viewed in the browser.
Show Security WarningsDisplay alerts to users if there are security issues with an approved website.
Ignore Install CertificateSuppress certificate installation prompts when accessing websites that request certificate installation.
Downloads
Allow DownloadsEnable this option to allow downloads on the device from approved or whitelisted websites.
Open File After DownloadCheck this option to automatically open files after they are downloaded.
Keep Download HistoryEnable to retain a history of downloaded files on the device.
Download PathSpecify the folder or path where downloaded files should be saved.
Default File ExtensionEnter a default file extension to resolve issues with downloading certain file types.
Upload Settings
Allow UploadsEnable to allow uploading files from the device through approved websites.
Upload SelectorChoose between Internal File Selector or System File Selector for file uploads.
JPEG Compression RatioEnter the desired compression ratio for JPEG images during upload.
Image Scaling RatioSpecify the scaling ratio for images to adjust size before upload.
Automatically Load ImagesEnable or disable automatic image loading; disabling helps reduce network usage.
Use Wide View DisplaySets the browser size to mimic a normal desktop browser layout.
Enable Auto Media PlaybackAllow media (audio/video) to play automatically; not available on Android 10 and above.
Access Denied PageLoad the homepage automatically when access to a website is denied.
Block Intent URLsBlock URLs that attempt to launch third-party application intents.
Mixed Content ModeConfigure how the browser handles mixed content: Never Allow, Always Allow, or Compatibility Mode.

Privacy Settings
Enable Private BrowsingBrowse websites without saving browsing history, cookies, or session information.
Accept CookiesAllow websites to store and read cookies on the device.
Accept Third-Party CookiesAllow third-party websites to store and read cookies.
Clear CookiesRemove all currently stored cookies from the browser.
Clear Browsing HistoryDelete the existing browsing history from the browser.
Clear Session NowTerminate and remove all currently active browsing sessions.
Allow Location AccessEnable websites to access the device’s location information.
Save Form DataAllow the browser to store form input data for future use.
Clear Form DataRemove all saved form input data from the browser.
On Home Page LoadAutomatically clear selected data (cache, cookies, sessions, form data, passwords, browsing history, HTTP authentication, and offline data) whenever the home page loads.
Statistics
View Offline Data UsageView the amount of data currently stored for offline usage.
Schedule CleanupConfigure a scheduled cleanup to automatically clear stored browser data (disabled by default).
