Device Enrollment Rules


SureMDM allows admins to set device enrollment rules for devices upon enrollment such as naming the device and Device Authentication Types.

To enable auto naming of devices, and enable device authentication types on enrollment, follow these steps:

1.  Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Device Enrollment Rules.

2.  Configure device enrollment rules settings and click Apply.

Settings

Description

Device Naming


Prefix

Text or numerals added at the beginning of the device name.

Suffix

Text/numerals/macros (IMEI,MAC Address,Serial Number) added at the end of the device name.

For example - Macro for IMEI can be added as "$IMEI$".

Start Count

The number from which the count has to start. 

Number of Digits

The number of characters of Start Count.

Next Device Name

Displays the device name that will be enrolled next.

Reset

Use this option to reset the device naming counter for newly enrolled devices.

Enrollment Authentication


Advanced Device Authentication

Use this option to enable password prompt from SureMDM Agent.

Device Authentication Type

Select the required Device Authentication Type from the following options:

Enrollment Identifier


Use Serial Number

Use this option as enrollment identifer when Mac/IMEI details are not available for a device.


3. Click Apply.
