Configure SureMDM Agent Settings
On successful launch of the SureMDM Agent application on the device, SureMDM app home will appear with Settings options. To configure SureMDM agent application settings, follow these steps:
Launch SureMDM Agent application on the device.
On SureMDM app home screen, tap Settings.
Configure required SureMDM app settings and tap Done.

| Enable SureMDM Agent Service | This option allows the user to enable or disable the communication between SureMDM Agent and SureMDM account. This feature has to be disabled before making changes in the app settings. |
| Change Device Name | Device Name can be set manually by entering the desired name or use IMEI Number or use MAC Number. The Device Name configured here will appear in the device grid of the SureMDM console. |
| Account ID | Account ID is the identification number for the SureMDM account. Enter the Account ID to enroll in the SureMDM account. |
| Server Path | The console URL to which devices will be enrolled. |
| Group Path | The group path in which the device will be enrolled. |
| Device ID | Unique identification of the device. |
| Secure SureMDM Agent Settings | Select Secure SureMDM Agent Settings to get following privileges on the device: Password Protect Agent Settings - Enable this option to protect SureMDM Agent settings. Set/Change Password - Use this option to change or set password for SureMDM Agent Settings. Protection Type - Select a protection type(Protect both View and Edits/Protect only Edits). Settings Access Protection - Enable Settings access protection after incorrect login attempts.

| Enable Admin | Select Enable Admin to get following privileges on the device: - Disable Camera - Disable Lock Screen - Encrypt Device - Set Password Expiry - Lock Device - Set Password Restrictions - Reset Device Password - Set Device Proxy - Monitor Unauthorized Login - Wipe Device - Samsung Knox |
| Activate Samsung KNOX | This option helps to use Samsung KNOX features. Note: Activate Enable Admin option to use Samsung KNOX features. |
| Enroll Device Using QR Code | Select this option to enable scanning QR code option to enroll the device to SureMDM account. |
| SureMDM Agent Connectivity | Select the network connectivity preference to get connected to the internet: - Any - WiFi Only - Mobile Data Only |
| Prefer Mobile Data | Select this option to use Mobile Data connection by default even if the device is connected to Wi-Fi network. |

| Change Polling Mechanism | In Polling Mechanism, the processor periodically checks each of its input and output devices to see if any of them have a request that it needs to handle. To change the Polling Mechanism, tap Change Polling Mechanism and select from following options: - Normal Polling - Periodic Polling |
| Application Lock PIN | Admin can configure a lock pin for all the applications installed on the device. Select this option to remove or replace the existing lock pin. |
| Remote Support Disagnostic | Select this option to allow SureMDM to remotely connect to the enrolled device. |
| Android Enterprise | Once the SureMDM account is enrolled with Android Enterprise, the device also needs to get enrolled with Android Enterprise. Admins can use the following option to enable Android Enterprise: Enroll Your device - Use this option to enable the Android Enterprise. Google Play Services - Use this option to ensure that the latest version of Google Play services is running. Re-enroll Play for Work - Use this option to re-enroll the Play for Work account. This option supports only on Device Owner/Profile Owner mode. NFC Provisioning - Use this option enroll devices using NFC provisioning. Note: This option will be available only on the NFC supported devices. |
| Mailbox | Select this option to show Mailbox option on the SureMDM Home Screen. |
| Keep CPU ON | Select Keep CPU On option to keep SureMDM Agent running all the time. |
| High Accuracy Geofence Status | Notifies the users while entering or exiting the geofence. Note: Enable Location Tracking option from SureMDM console for this feature to work. |
| Enable Log | Select this option to record the log information of the device in SureMDM Web Console. |
| User Privacy | Admins can allow or deny the options under User Privacy and select Done. Unattended Remote Control - Select this option to allow remote control without user interaction. Unattended Location Tracking - Select this option to allow admins to locate the device without requesting end-user permission. Unattended Call Log Tracking - Select this option to allow admins to access the call logs. Unattended SMS Log Tracking - Select this option to allow admins to access the SMS logs. Consent Dialog Settings - Specify the time (in seconds) after which the consent dialog is automatically dismissed. Disable SureMDM Agent Notifications - This option prevent the SureMDM agent from displaying any system notifications. Show Notifications for Download - Select this option to view download notifications for the install/ file transfer job. Enable Text-to-Speech - Use this option convert the message text into speech. Admins can read the text messages by the human voice. Disable "Reply" Button - Use this option to disable the reply button in the mailbox. Disable "Close" Button - Use this option to disable the close button in the mailbox. Disable "Delete" Button - Use this option to disable the delete button in the mailbox. |

| Ignore Block Mobile Data Till Next Cycle | Select this option to ignore blocking of mobile data even if mobile data usage exceeds for the current cycle. |
| Enable Kiosk Lockdown | Use this option to setup device as a dedicated kiosk. Users can access only required applications and preventing them from making any intended or unintended changes in the device. |
| Device Time Synchronization | Displays the last time the device was synchronized with the server. |
| Allowed Apps for Custom Properties | This option displays the list of apps that are permitted to use custom properties. |
| Jobs | This option displays the list of applied jobs with Deployed Status, Job Name, Type, Version, and Applied Date. It also provides reasons for failed jobs. |
| Profiles | This option displays the list of applied profiles with deployed status and date. The details of selected profile will be displayed. It also provides reasons for failed profiles. |
| Import/Export Settings | Use this option to export the current SureMDM Agent settings to a File or cloud. This option can also be used to import settings from Cloud or File for quick and easy configuration. |
| Advanced Settings | Grant SD Card Write Access - Use this option to allow write permissions on the SD card. Use Legacy KNOX Activation Method - Enable the legacy method for Samsung KNOX activation. Hide Device Status Reason - Use this option to hide the device status reason from the home screen. Disable Device Security Features - Use this option to disable built-in device security features. Export Agent Data Usage Logs - Use this option to export agent data usage logs to external storage. Enable Delete Older Log Files - Enable this to automatically delete log files after a defined number of days. Delete Log Files Older Than - Specify the number of days after which log files are deleted. Enable Delete Older Messages - Enable this to automatically delete mailbox messages older than a specified age. Delete Messages Older Than - Specify the number of days after which mailbox messages are deleted. Select App Theme - Choose the application theme for the user interface. |
| Job Status in DB | This option will displays the status of the active jobs in the database. |
| Deregister SureMDM Agent | Use this option to deregister the device from the SureMDM Server. |
| Uninstall SureMDM Agent | Use this option to remove the SureMDM Agent from the device. |
| About SureMDM Agent | Use this option to view the following options: - Version - Displays the version of SureMDM Agent. - Privacy Policy - Displays the privacy policy of the SureMDM Agent. |
