Overview

SureMDM is committed to providing an inclusive experience for users with diverse accessibility needs. The SureMDM Web Console is designed following established accessibility best practices to ensure core device management workflows are perceivable, operable, and understandable for all administrators.

Our console implements features aligned with WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 Level A success criteria where applicable. Accessibility support is a core part of our product development lifecycle, and we continuously enhance these features to reduce barriers across supported browsers and platforms.

Keyboard Navigation

The SureMDM Web Console supports full keyboard operability, allowing users to manage their fleet without the use of a mouse.

  • Predictable Navigation: Tab order is logically structured across all pages and management workflows.

  • Focus Indicators: Interactive elements feature clear visual indicators when focused.

  • Comprehensive Interaction: Keyboard support is available for:

    • Primary and Secondary Navigation Menus
    • Action Buttons and Hyperlinks
    • Form Fields, Checkboxes, and Dropdown menus
    • Modal Dialogs and Confirmation Pop-ups
  • Focus Management: Focus is automatically trapped within active modal dialogs and restored to the triggering element upon closing to prevent "keyboard traps."

Keyboard Shortcuts

To facilitate faster navigation, SureMDM provides dedicated keyboard shortcuts for frequently used actions.

  • Quick Access: A limited set of core actions can be executed via hotkeys.

  • Documentation: Users can view the full list of supported shortcuts by navigating to Settings > Help > Keyboard Shortcuts within the console.

The following keyboard shortcuts have been implemented to improve accessibility and enable efficient navigation across the interface; use Disable Keyboard Shortcuts option to allow users to turn shortcuts on or off based on your preference.

  • Tab - Moves the focus forward through interactive elements such as links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Shift + Tab - Moves the focus backward through interactive elements.
  • Enter - Activates buttons, links, or submit forms when focused.
  • Spacebar - Toggles checkboxes, activates buttons when focused, or scrolls down the page.
  • Arrow Keys (↑ ↓ ← →) - Navigates through menus, sliders, radio buttons, dropdown lists, tables, and tree structures.
  • Escape (Esc) - Closes open dropdown menus or dialog boxes.
  • Home / End - Moves the cursor to the first or last item in a list, table row, or form group.
  • Page Up / Page Down - Scrolls up or down one screen length within scrollable containers.

Display and Visual Accessibility

SureMDM includes several visual enhancements to support users with low vision or specific viewing preferences.

High-Contrast Support

For users who require high contrast to distinguish between foreground and background elements, SureMDM offers a dedicated theme.

  • How to Enable: Navigate to Settings > Console Appearance > Theme and select High Contrast Theme.

Fonts and Density Settings

The console layout can be customized to improve readability and information density without compromising functionality.

  • Customization: Navigate to Settings > Console Appearance > Fonts or Density.

  • Scaling: Users can adjust font types, font scaling, and element spacing (density) to suit their visual needs.

Visual Cues

SureMDM is designed so that color is not the sole medium for conveying critical information or indicating required actions.

note

Specific data visualizations such as Job Status charts, Dashboards, and OS Update graphs may still utilize color-coding for status representation.
