Setup SureLock Permissions
The admins can activate certain permissions anytime in SureLock. The following options are available under Setup SureLock Permissions:
- Set SureLock as Default Launcher - This option will set SureLock as default Home screen.
- Configure Runtime Permissions - SureLock wants to access the runtime permissions like Camera, Location, Storage, Phone, Messages and Contacts. SureLock will not work until these permissions are enabled.
- Activate Device Admin - SureLock needs Android administrator permission for the advanced lockdown features such as
- Disable Camera
- Disable Lock Screen
- Encrypt device
- Set Password Expiry
- Lock Device
- Set Password Restrictions
- Reset Device Password
- Monitor unauthorized Login
- Wipe Device
Select this option to activate all the advanced lockdown features.
- Enable Samsung Knox - Select this option to enable Samsung Knox features. This feature is available only for Samsung Knox devices.
- Enable Usage Access - Select this option and then enable Usage Access for SureLock. The lockdown features of SureLock will not work until this option is enabled.
- Enable All Files Access - SureLock requires this permission to transfer the files from/to the device.
Note: Enable All Files Access will be available only on the devices running Android 11 and above.
- Enable Accessibility Settings - SureLock requires this permission to block access to the notification panel, power button and keyboard.
Note: Enable Accessibility Settings will be available only on the devices running Android 12 and above.
- Configure System Permissions - SureLock requires this permission to enable the single application mode, WiFi hotspot and more. Use this option to allow SureLock to modify the system settings.
- Enable Notification Access - SureLock requires this permission to block the notifications and control the sound setting on the device. Use this option to enable the notification access.
- Enable Display Over Other Apps - SureLock requires display over other applications permission to disable the status bar, block access to unallowed apps and usage of floating buttons. Use this option to enable the display over other apps permission on the device.
- Enable Background Location - SureLock requires location permission to be enabled all the time. Use this option to keep the location permission enabled all the time.
- Enable SureKeyboard Service - SureLock requires this permission to set a secured keyboard as an input method on the device.
- Disable USB Debugging - Select this option to restrict access to the device using Command prompt.
- Disable Automatic Update From Play Store - Select this option to stop auto-updating all the installed applications from Play Store.
- Disable Battery Optimization - SureMDM Agent requires this permission to run in the background all the time. Use this option to disable the battery optimization on the device.
